Uncharted Summits is an Adventure Tour and Personal Transformation company. We are registered in England and Wales as a limited company under number 15490254 and our registered office is at The Kiln, 2 Copenhagen Street, Worcester, WR1 2HBFor the purpose of the Data Protection Legislation and this notice, we are the ‘Data Controller’. This means that we are responsible for deciding how we hold and use personal data about you. We are required under the Data Protection Legislation to notify you of the information contained in this privacy notice.We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under reference: ZB731047
HOW WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We obtain personal data about you, for example, when:
- You complete a form adding you to a wait list
- You commit to undertaking a trip with us
- You contact us by email, telephone, post or social media or
- You accept cookies on our website
THE DATA WE COLLECT AND KEEP SAFE
- Your contact details, such as your first and last name, your email address, your contact number(s) - so we can register you and contact you with details about your journey
- Your family's contact details - In case we ever need to get hold of them
- Your medical information - in case this is required to assist you on your journey
We need a lawful basis: What is it?
Legitimate Interest: We process some of your data under this basis to be able to bring you better and better services and products. Consent: Where are required to use consent, such as newsletter sign-ups or other specific collections, we will use this as the lawful basis. You have the absolute right to withdraw consent at any time. This can be done either through unsubscribing or by letting us know by email (dpo@unchartedsummits.world) if the consent has been used for anything other than marketing.Vital Interest: We will collect the medical data from you so that we can ensure your safety and wellbeing on your adventure. We will share this ONLY with the appropriate people as and when this basis is applicable.
How long will you hold my data for?
We don't need to keep your data forever. There are certain legal obligations that require us to retain your data for longer periods, but we will make sure under all circumstances we delete your data OR aggregate it sufficiently that you cannot be identified.

Will you transfer my data to other countries?
We make it our mission to try and keep your data in the UK or the EEA as both these options ensure you're operating under the same level of data protection.However, sometimes the products or services that we need to utilise to ensure your experience is exceptional may require us to transfer some of your personal data outside the UK.If this is required, we will inform you of the need and why it is necessary and we will ensure that the appropriate contracts (which is something known as an International Data Transfer Agreement - IDTA) is in place BEFORE we make the transfer.
How secure is my data with you?
We are meticulous in reviewing suppliers and their security measures. We treat your data as we would our own and if we do not think a supplier has sufficient security controls in place, we will find an alternative.
Our minimum standards are:
- ALL communication is encrypted end-to-end
- ALL data is encrypted at rest and in transit
- Only the personnel required to utilise your data are able to do so and anyone else is restricted.
I have rights over my data, don't I?
You absolutely do. When you make a request, we are required to respond and fulfil that ask within 1 month. We can extend this under certain circumstances, but we will inform you if that ever becomes necessary.We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access the information (or to exercise any of your other rights).
- Request access to your personal data. This enables you to receive details of the personal data we hold about you and to check that we are processing it lawfully.
- Request correction (Rectification) of the personal data that we hold about you.
